Now Featured at Global Village Collection

If you have not been by our store at 37 N. Sandusky Street for a while, then you might want to pay us a visit to see some of our new products. We recently purchased a line of men´s, women´s and children´s clothing from a new vendor to us called Minga. Much of the clothing was produced, fairly traded of course, by the Ecuadorian Clothing Company. The fabrics used are light, comfortable, and ideal for our Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. Minga also provided us with many other products as well – absolutely beautifully colored shawls, ideal for a cool evening outdoors, striking hand and over-the-shoulder bags, musical instruments, toys, and much, much more.

We continue to carry our beautiful line of women´s fashions from Avatar, our supplier which continues to do great things for the economy of Nepal by providing fair trade, employment opportunities to hundreds of women who are the main providers of income for their immediate and extended families. Beautiful dresses, tops, skirts and blouses, ideal for this time of year – they can be worn casually, or perhaps a little dressy for a night out.

I realize that the summer is flying by – here we are half-way through July already. Well, there are still plenty of good days left for entertaining with a cook out, or barbeque. I don’t know about you, but my grill has been working overtime. Stop by our store and see what interesting foods we are carrying that you might want to surprise your friends with at your next get together. I am still a big fan of Food for Thought´s Cherry Honey Mustard – a terrific marinade I have used on pork tenderloins, or just as a condiment for hotdogs or hamburgers. Or, how about Wild Leek Relish – you have to try that, as well. We carry ready to use salsas and salsa mixes, dips, fair trade organic preserves, wine and/or spice infused. Don´t forget about our broad selection of teas from Light of Day Organics – many have been blended with different fruits and vanilla – they make for a very tasty, cool summer drink.
